Comfort Creatures spring training classes are just around the corner. Classes culminate in evaluations to be registered as Delta Society Pet Partners.
Where: St Luke United Methodist Church Gym, Tupelo

Informational Meeting (no animals) – Thursday April 7 5:45 pm
Class – Thursday April 14 5:45 pm
Class – Thursday April 21 5:45 pm
Class – Thursday April 28 5:45 pm
Class – Thursday May 5 5:45 pm
Class – Thursday May 12 5:45 pm
Evaluations – Friday May 20 (probably only after lunch, depending on number of participants)
Evaluations – Saturday May 21 9:00 – 5:00

If it’s your year to be re-evaluated, please let me know asap.
I will need volunteers for the classes and on evaluation days, so please let me know if you are available and what dates.
Please let me know what you can do AND if you are being evaluated.

Our fall classes register teams for Love on a Leash. In our Fall 2010 class, we had seven teams who all passed their Control Evaluation. They are now working on their required, supervised 10 hourly visits. Two of the teams already have another dog in our program!

Great news!!! We have TWO new Delta teams!!!!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!
Jenna has just moved to Tupelo. Snickers has been a Delta dog for 2 years and went to Birmingham Saturday to get re-evaluated and PASSED!
Kathy and Maggie have joined us in a LOAL class and went to Birmingham with Jenna and PASSED Delta! GREAT job ladies!

Comfort Creatures is in desperate need for a
FUND RAISING CHAIRMAN!
This is NOT a difficult position and not really time consuming because of ALL the help you will get!
We have members with some wonderful ideas who are very willing to help out!!
We just need someone to “head” this up!
PLEASE…..I try not to ask for much….BUT this is a must!
We also need a PR chairman…My thoughts are that this could all be the same person! We need to get our name out there!! TV, radio, newspaper, booths at every event we can possibly get in to, etc.
You do not necessarily have to have a therapy dog to hold either position. If you just want to help…WE NEED YOU!

Comfort Creatures hosted Paws in the Park – a pet-friendly fundraiser with music, refreshments, games, a dog parade and a silent auction – on Saturday, September 26.
